The Hybrid Flat 6 Hypercar

PROJECT SPARKWELL

Halcyon KRz190 Twin-Charged Hybrid RS+ Spyder

Project Sparkwell is the name given to a very special Halcyon back at Miroche's manufacturing headquarters. This Halcyon is a 1 of 1 exclusive model that was used as a concept car and then as a prototype for testing the new 8th generation of Halcyon.

It comes equipped with a unique hybrid drive train and engine combo, dubbed the the KRz190, that only comes in 100 limited release model Halcyons. If you want to get your hands on the closest thing, ask your dealer about the KR190. Or, if you want to save a little on gas, check out the best hybrid model available, the KRz100.

This unique Halcyon also bears a unique set of trim options, called the RS+ package, that no other Halcyon has. Though don't be disappointed, you can get this package on any other Miroche model currently available.

Features

As fast as a Koenigsegg
As agile as a Porsche
As efficient as a Polestar
As safe as a Volvo
As reliable as a Toyota

Well, just about. This mechanical wonder, pushing 1,422 horsepower, has a top speed of 305 mph, and a 0-60 of 1.7 seconds. It’s not just fast, but it has some of the smoothest and tightest handling around, making it a formidable race candidate. Kachow!

The hybrid flat 6 engine and drive train layout allows for intense speed but great gas savings. In sport mode, the RS+ Halcyon makes an average of 37 MPG, but in stealth mode it makes 105 MPGe using the hybrid battery system. Pretty clean.

Not only did Miroche design one of the fastest hypercars on the planet, but they also ensured the new generation of Halcyon came equipped with the best safety features and highest quality parts to ensure reliability. But not to worry, the body panels and interior are made of high quality carbon fiber to ensure a lightweight construction to maintain the sporty handling. Gotta get those weight savings!

    The KRz190: A Unique Powertrain

How does it make so much power
and still make 37 miles per gallon?

We'll let you in on our secret.

During it’s arduous redesign, Miroche aimed to create something for the new Halcyon that was unique and powerful that still held true to the classic Miroche Flat 6 found in it’s predecessors. When redesigning the Miroche Flat 6, it was tuned to be power first, comfort and noise second. Your average road versions of the Halcyon are all modified to cover up that wonderful beast of an engine to make it a bit safer and quieter (more legal) for your everyday use. The RS+, however, was specifically designed to push the limit of legality. It’s as fast, dirty and loud as legally allowed, but even then you might want to keep the RPM’s down if you don’t want a hit on your record for disturbing the peace.

Now you may be frothing at the mouth just thinking about even bearing witness to such a mechanical marvel! Much less driving one. Why tell you about this car of legend that you can’t even drive? Although you can get real close with the Halcyon KR100... It’s all to show you the potential of such a car. To show you Miroche’s unwavering dedication to building cars that are really for car lovers. The RS+ is their promise to keep making the beloved Halcyon that their fans love that will always tick all the boxes. It’s to show you what you could do if you just had enough time, money, and dedication to put a bit of work into your own Halcyon.

    Where It All Began

    Produced from: 1972-2020, 2030+

The Halcyon was first released in 1972 for $5,500 ($36,687), just two years before it put the Temper out of business. It saw immediate sales the first year, 24,500 units internationally, which greatly encouraged Miroche to keep going down the performance and luxury vehicle paths.

The Halcyon was quickly adopted as the company's flagship model and cemented Miroche's long lasting reputation for luxury and speed. They produced highly advanced models of the Halcyon for years, always having the best technology and Miroche's record setting Flat 6 engine.

Miroche continued to produce other cars alongside the Halcyon, but nothing compared to the magnificence of Kibon' best selling vehicle of all time. At its best, pre-hiatus, the 2016 Halcyon sold 94,300 units internationally for $53,000 ($88,585) minimum a piece (not including consideration that some of these sales where for $100k+ models).

This car almost created a phenomenon as it became the best selling Hypercar ever. Previous Miroche owners and even non-Miroche owners traded in cars enmasse to get their hands on a Halcyon. For its level of performance even in a base model, this car should be considered cheap. There were waiting lists for the base model, dealerships were holding lotteries, this was truly the ā€˜people’s hypercar’ by 2016.

But all good things must come to an end. Miroche had decided that the 7th generation Halcyon would be the last as sales declined after their all time record in 2016. Sales plummeted to 14,700 in 2019. Miroche had mistaken a lack of garage space or empty wallets on behalf of all Halcyon fans as lack of interest in the vehicle and discontinued it in 2020. Miroche tried to keep even a slight production run of Halcyons up, but with how unique the car’s engine was, and how hard the unique engine and auxiliary components were to replace and maintain even with how common the car was, Miroche just didn’t want to lose money anymore.

After retiring the Halcyon, Miroche entered an era of experimentation. They produced everything they could think of. Their comfy off-roading SUV from 1995 was a big success. They made a couple quirky compact luxury econo-boxes that didn’t make sales quotas. They even made their first iteration of the Drake semi-truck, which was successful much to their surprise. Old models received new refreshes with fancy new engines and spicy new facelifts. Miroche was eager to chase innovation. Some of their models became cult favorites, and others vanished within a few years without a trace. Some speculated that Miroche was losing their vision and was prioritizing novelty over consistency and quality.

At this time, the existing Halcyons became known to be oversaturated. The surplus of unsold Halcyons became infamous, becoming often repurposed as disposable stunt vehicles in many films, or plain harvested for parts to support existing Halcyon owners. Many fans for the car still existed, but it was the sort of fame where the people who didn’t like the car hated it. There was no inbetween. You where either a loyal fan, or it was that one overrated car that you saw too many of at the car meet. The car that had once been the crown jewel of Miroche became, for a time, a cinematic crash dummy. The perfect car to ruin with a horrible stance kit and too many stickers.

Sometime in 2025, Miroche's CEO at the time, Milo Harris, had leaked some special info while talking to a Miklon focused car magazine at the 2025 Annual Meimo State Auto-show. The reporter had asked Harris if he thought anything would ever live up to the Halcyon.

"Nothing quite lives up to the Halcyon— Except the Halcyon itself. I understand why so many of you were upset when we said goodbye to it. The truth is, we had to make that call when demand dropped and we were losing more than we could sustain. This sort of passion we see online and when we attend events like this is rare, and it means the world to us." Harris offers a knowing smile. "Oh, and to all the die-hard Halcyon fans out there: I think you’ll find the wait will be worth it. We’re building something that I believe Elucian himself would be proud of— And I hope you all will be too. We’ve been taking a step back to reevaluate ourselves and what Miroche as a company stands for. And after a few scattered years, we're putting everything back where it belongs."

A few people (correctly) assumed this meant the Halcyon was being revived due to the statement "die-hard Halcyon fans" instead of leaving the statement more ambiguous. Many brushed it off though, I mean, who actually listens to the interviews at a car show? I thought we were all just drooling over the cars on TV.

This assumption was only popularized more in 2027 however. Two spyshot camouflaged prototype 8th generation Halcyons were spotted in Silkeholt and Rihktan (Well, more like just their engines, the bodies were fakes copying a concept’s body). This sparked interest in the Halcyon revival and brought forward some 3D rendered concepts for what people thought was under the camouflage. They didn’t know they’d be guessing horribly wrong, with Miroche using a pair of old concept bodies, one from the Disruptor concept and another from the Luxor concept to hold the engine during the testing phase to keep the secret for a bit longer. People were relieved to see the more street appropriate appearance we know and love on the Halcyon today instead of the concept cars’ ā€˜pretentious’ track design.

Around early 2029, Milo Harris came forward and confirmed the revived Halcyon was indeed the new car being worked on. Complete with a viral social media post with a video of Harris sitting in a bare 8th gen Halcyon with no body panels or doors on a dynamometer letting out some glorious Flat 6 revs. As 2029 came in, there was more and more leaks and advertising about the car to hype up Miroche’s audience.

Finally, in July of 2029, the all new 2030 Halcyon revival was officially announced and advertised, with commercials gracing the internet and would-be owners preparing their bank accounts and wallets. Until now, the Halcyon has remained the flagship model once again since its revival and stands as Miroche's most famous vehicle, and the most popular hyper-car ever produced on Ishbo and to come out of Kibon.
